The box, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, etc fits no probs.

The pedal box is different, but can be made to fit with an angle grinder

A 5 speed EL Ghia would be pretty sweet and unique. Wouldn't there be ECU issues?

Not sure what you have to do to the Auto ECU to make it work, should be plenty of people around that would know

Theres just the issue of the xr mtor and if you wanted to retain the xr ecu. you need a high series ecu to control the fan blower speed because the low and high series work oppisite to each other.

look at page 10-1-37 of the manual. pin 86 low series, high = 12v low = 0v, high series high = 0v, low = 12v

then page 21-2-40 theres definitly a link from the eec to the fan motor control.

Use the EB 5 speed crossmember.

I used my auto crossmember but had to redrill the mounting holes.

Do you have speed sensitive steering? You will need to keep the auto ECU if u want to retain this feature (assuming the Ghia's did have it)
