Yeah, I have been using it a little bit recently.

I've read numourous articles, and it is safe with the AU Falcon.

Idle is perfectly fine, Economy is just like any premium unleaded. Price is ~5c cheaper than unleaded, which is about ~10c cheaper than premium.

It rans pretty much exactly the same, to when I have Vortex 95 in my car. I have done calculations for tanks and tanks of different fuels, and Vortex 95 was the best performing fuel for my car, and United 95 is right next to it.

sounds like LG has done his homework! smart lad he is...

as for me - nope still run the closest premium pump. ultimate 98 seems to be less effective than 95. wierd but yeah.

im in wa and have yet to so an ethanol pump.

I use the new shell premium (V power)and it has ethanol in it and i dont mind it at all. Slightly better throttle response ( I think) But then sometimes these things are just in the mind.
The race car I work on runs on martini 1400 unleaded high octane fuel and that is 10% ethanol. In fact all of the race fuel you buy in a tin i have seen has some percentage ethanol. If this doesnt say somethin about ethanol being a good additive in unleaded than I dont know what would.

As I've previously posted here, I use United's Ethanol 95 ron fuel, mainly because it is cheaper than regular by around 4 cents, but also I'm now acheiving a consistent 400mks plus per tank around town in my VCT Ghia, whereas previously I got no better than 360 ish.

Performance I reckon is the same though.

It will be interesting to see how the eecv responds to ethanol added fuels over time. Considering that ethanol burns differently to octane petrol it might 'trick' the eecv. Not necessarily a bad thing but something to keep in the back of your mind.

My cars has been edit tuned to Mobil 8000 98 octane. As a test I ran a half tank (not mixed with any other fuel, straight) of E10 98 octane to see what happens. Can ran perfectly, tune was not affected and I honestly couldnt tell the difference in power, economy (hahaha) or how it sounded/reacted.
I personally believe that E10 fuels in an AU is perfectly fine. I would happily run it every day if there was somewhere close selling it.

i was just looking at the shell website,

it seems v-power is the replacement for optimax, it doesn't mention anything about having ethanol in it, but they have "v-power racing" which is 100 octane and has 5% ethanol.

aaah, ok thanks, just one other thing, if it doesn't say v power 100 on the bowser would it be fair to assume that it is only 98?

I have used 10% ethanol in my car for around 8 months. I havent used anything else but this, and its a 95RON fuel. I also made 121.1 RWKW on this with a cat back, tickford snorkle and K&N filter. Car runs great, never misses a beat.

I did a trial run on the United 95ron eth fuel in my ute, 2 tanks, and got 542km and 553km before the light came on on the 2 tanks, and i get about 650km on 98ron ultimate or v power fuel. thats 50-50 hwy-city driving, and it visits the redline a bit.

the main thing i noticed is on the united fuel is that my ute took about 3-4 seconds to kick over, where as, as soon as i went back to 98 fuel it starts instantly. but thats the only ethanol fuel we have here, i really would like to try the shell 100ron ethanol fuel
