overall, its a very recognisable car now.

glad to see they've upped the airbag count to satisfy the small minded journo's.
It is also good for resale when fleets sell their cars at auction as now they all have the best safety options on all their cars. Rental car companies will like this.

I'll let you call my wife small minded for wanting a car with the best safety options available from the manufacturer for her family. Its not just the media.

having an airbag doesn't automatically make it safer

falcon scored very well in the pole test, but i guess that doesn't mean anything cos it didn't have an airbag.

if the falcon only pulled 4 stars, but had 400 airbags.......

You're trying to use logic, what for?
It was available anyway as an option so if people can't see beyond the media's scaremongering and deemed they really "needed" them, they were available. Baaaa.

Love it, and an 8 inch touch screen is huge.
Getting better and better, hopefully we get a xenon hd option too.

Features look good, wonder if things like the touch screen could be retro fitted to FG1.
I'm not a fan of the bumpers tbh (right now), but I think most of that is because the pictures are stretched vertically. Because, if you look at the interior shot, the steering wheellooks like an oval.
So just imagine the outside as lower and wider

Looks very good.

Really suprised there has been no tweaking of the range, was expecting Titianium models and maybe a rejigging of the base model to be more of a mix between an XT and an XR i.e. Zetec.

Aerodynamic tunnels on the XR models? Are they talking about Lift reduction or drag reduction?

Good marketing. Probably does nothing for performance.

The only thing I'm liking at the moment are the projector headlamps. Mountains of black plastic on the lower grill of XRs... ehhhh.

Considering it for your GT or XR6T if they are a direct fit?

Not me, wife's in Syndey today so I pinched the G6ET for the day and bloody hell it's a fantastic car...I think I'm going to order a Feb '11 build G6ET, anyone know of any price changes....as it seems I'll gain 19"s (which I could do without) sat nav from Terry which is a massive improvement on the current factory job and thankfully the 8-way power seats remain and linked to mirror settings as opposed to the SZ Terry offering...see I'm mounting a case for staying with the "wolf in sheep's clothing".

Seconded, the black plastic is taking over and it's not a good look. However I will wait till I see one in real life before passing final judgement.

yes, and if it's as hard to clean as the current rear bar infill - what a nightmare. Imagine picking all the bugs out of it!

The new wheels look good!

I like it. Not so much the G6 or G6E (Silver one), but the XR's look good.

Looks great, gives the front end that extra flare, the current front end looks a bit plain in my opinion. I hope they also touch up the rear end a bit.

The changes are similar to Holden's from VE to VE series 2...if they could follow Holden and provide a model similar to the redline that would seal the deal for me, lower suspension, brembo brakes, larger wheels and call it the XR6 Turbo R Spec...

+1 hopefully a return of the XR8 (NA 5.0) isn't too far away.

It's a great time to be blue, some exciting models on the horizon.
