(2) Is there a Part Number for the courtesy light with integrated switch that you see over the rear seats in BA XR's, and in behind the Sunvisor in Fairmonts and above? Once again, keyword searches have drawn a blank.

(3) In your database I found mention of the part number AU2 17E704 A 'MODULATOR MIRROR CTR, WITH MEMORY MIRROR' when searching on the word 'Mirror' and selecting BA. Since I'm interested in adding Memory Mirrors with Reverse Dip - is there any chance that anyone knows what this module is and what it does? It's not listed in the BA Workshop Manual anywhere. I've often been curious as to how the Memory Module under the seat could control the mirrors, and have been suspicious that there's another undocumented controller somewhere - and this is the first possible evidence of something like that.

(1) Looks like this is actually part of the main wiring loom.

(2) There are 2 seperate parts that make up this lamp but it is available as a kit:

BA 13A701 A LAMP ASSY - 13.40

(3) You are correct in your assumption as it is only fitted to vehicles with Memory function. The little pic below is it in diagrammatic form.

Hi Russ
The plastic guard type thingie, under the front lower bumper has split, makes a load of noise.
Question is do you have a part number & price, and would a second hand unit do.

I presume you are referring to the undertray that sits under the engine?

I can't find a listing for it but a 2nd hand one would be fine I would think - they don't seem to last very long anyway and it is better to use screws and speed nuts rather than refitting them with the bloody useless xmas tree clips.

Cheers

I think it's called a "deflector", kinda rings a bell, I've had 4 in 320,000km & have given up replacing them for now.

On your first point the answer is no. That is only the conversion kit.

You are correct with the body side mouldings.

The front bar transfers are not the moulding as it is listed on it's own but it's not clear from the diagram what they are. There are a similar set for the rear bar.

Cheers

Sedan appears to still be available:

ER F13000 A6 CARPET, 4 DR SED, FORTE/FUTURA/S/XR, WARM CHARCOAL $ 664.30

Can't find a listing for the Ute but it is likely to also be available at about half that cost.

Cheers
Russ

The part number is

TAU F04460 A

Sadly no longer available (see your other thread). However if you can get one ... get two! I'll have one please. BTW the list price was $27.90 the last time I bought one.

When you say side guards I presume you mean the bodywork at the front side? If so, they are referred to in Ford speak as fenders.

I have a set of ACL Duralite pistons that came out of an XD motor that I built years ago. The engine had a crack in the block and was pumping oil into the water. Very dissapointing at the time, but does anybody know wether I can uyse these pistons in an AU block?
