Your right we have many customers who do not want to fit new wheels as it can be an expensive process but as most forum members are aware you will find that unless the car is fitted with Brembo's it is highly unlikely the factory ford wheels will clear. A good example is the XR6 and XR8 and the factory XT wheels.

Are those advanti nova's on the GT? If so they clear brembo 6/4 brake setups
As I was advised back in march that they wouldn't, spewing as they were my first choice of wheels |

Slightly off topic, but could you get around the brembo clearance problem by running the stock calipers but utilising larger rotors?
Would that be beneficial? I assume it would depend on how much of the Brembo performance is due to the caliper and how much is due to the rotor size? Just thought i'd ask.....

By running the stock calipers on a larger rotor you would definitely avoid any Brembo clearance issues but the people who are generally going to read this thread in particular have either factory Brembo brakes or are looking at fitting Brembo's and are looking for wheel options. To answer your question though,the idea of running a std caliper on a larger rotor is an option and has been done using 330mm rotors and we also sell a larger more solid twin piston caliper that is used on the brembo 355mm rotor but in the end you can't compare the Brembo 4 or 6 piston calipers for braking capacity to twin piston sliding calipers.

Has anyone tried ROH Modena the modular three-piece wheels in 19"? I currently have a set on my P250 with the Tickford twin piston calipers. i would like to upgrade the brakes but retain these wheels. Might see if I can find someone with Brembo's locally who would allow me to fit the wheels for clearance testing onto their vehicle.

Any chance of these wheels clearing 6 pot Brembos on a BA XR with 19s?

[QUOTE=xr8 007]Hey all,
Any chance of these wheels clearing 6 pot Brembos on a BA XR with 19s? Not sure but the easiest way to tell is to try your wheel on a mates car if they have the brembo's fitted. Hopefully we will have a template to use soon.

The AU Tickford 18" Rebel wheels do not clear Brembos. These wheels were also on the T1 and T2 TS50's.
Another thing to note, not all Tickford Azzuros clear Brembos, only the ones that were fitted to the T3 will. |

The Azzuros I tried must of been from a T3 - I did not know there was a difference in mouldings for the Azzuros but knowing FORD it does not surprise me. Thanks for that Ride

18" Azzuroes that fit over 4 pot Brembos will also clear 6 pots? Sorry if I appear slow on the uptake but these can be expensive mistakes... |
