I will have to wait until i bolt one of these kits up on a car to get that measurment.
Your right we have many customers who do not want to fit new wheels as it can be an expensive process but as most forum members are aware you will find that unless the car is fitted with Brembo's it is highly unlikely the factory ford wheels will clear. A good example is the XR6 and XR8 and the factory XT wheels.

That would be great if you could. I am not running factory wheels so might have more clearance than them due to having less offset so the caliper will sit in the wider part of the rim. They are copies of the XR8 rims but with the E series offset.

has someone compiled a list of all the Standard XR/FPV wheels that will fit over 6/4 pot Brembo brakes?

Are those advanti nova's on the GT? If so they clear brembo 6/4 brake setups
As I was advised back in march that they wouldn't, spewing as they were my first choice of wheels

Slightly off topic, but could you get around the brembo clearance problem by running the stock calipers but utilising larger rotors?

Would that be beneficial? I assume it would depend on how much of the Brembo performance is due to the caliper and how much is due to the rotor size?

Just thought i'd ask.....

Please don't take this reply the wrong way.
By running the stock calipers on a larger rotor you would definitely avoid any Brembo clearance issues but the people who are generally going to read this thread in particular have either factory Brembo brakes or are looking at fitting Brembo's and are looking for wheel options.
To answer your question though, the idea of running a std caliper on a larger rotor is an option and has been done using 330mm rotors and we also sell a larger more solid twin piston caliper that is used on the brembo 355mm rotor but in the end you can't compare the Brembo 4 or 6 piston calipers for braking capacity to twin piston sliding calipers.

Has there been any development on a kit to move the front caliper and disc inwards to fit brembos...?

not really keen on changing wheels..& AP brakes are a bit pricey...

Brett What I found out - the hard and expensive way - when I put the big red hats on the BF XR8
I borrowed a few 18 and 19 FORD wheels from mates, neighbours a few in the club- a wrecker was only to happy to help out as well
BA XR 18 - yes
BF XR 18 - no
FG XR 18 - no
FG 19 XR option - no
FG 50th ann - no
FG G6E 18 - no
FG G6E turbo 19 - no
The only FORD (non FPV) wheel that will clear them is the ENKEI BA XR option series in 18 X 8 - all other B / F series non FPV will not fit end of story
All B and F series FPV wheels in 18" and 19" will fit as well as the Territory FX6 wheels
Sorry forgot to add The 18" Tickford Azzuro and the 18" Tickford Pursuit wheels fit - the AU series 18" Tickford Rebel wheels I am unsure of I did not test these

Could someone post a pic of the "The only FORD (non FPV) wheel that will clear them is the ENKEI BA XR option series in 18 X 8 " rim? I have BA 18s but I'm not sure if its the rim that will clear Brambos....
Thanks.

I haven't got a pic but they definitely do fit..
Have a look at "wild Inc." avatar pic.
Alot of guys use them wheels in combination with semi slick Tyres and brembo brakes for track days.

Has anyone tried ROH Modena the modular three-piece wheels in 19"? I currently have a set on my P250 with the Tickford twin piston calipers. i would like to upgrade the brakes but retain these wheels. Might see if I can find someone with Brembo's locally who would allow me to fit the wheels for clearance testing onto their vehicle.

This is the first thing we recommend and that is to find a friend or FF member with brembo's that you can try your wheels on for clearance.

Hey all,

Any chance of these wheels clearing 6 pot Brembos on a BA XR with 19s?

Not sure but the easiest way to tell is to try your wheel on a mates car if they have the brembo's fitted. Hopefully we will have a template to use soon.

The AU Tickford 18" Rebel wheels do not clear Brembos. These wheels were also on the T1 and T2 TS50's.

Another thing to note, not all Tickford Azzuros clear Brembos, only the ones that were fitted to the T3 will.

Every bit of info helps the Rebels were really the only non FPV wheel I did not try on I could not locate a set
The Azzuros I tried must of been from a T3 - I did not know there was a difference in mouldings for the Azzuros but knowing FORD it does not surprise me.
Thanks for that Ride

I think the Azzuro style rims came in 17inch on other fords (from memory the Fairlane Ghias.../)
Obviously only the 18inch versions from the T3 with fit brembos
cheers

T3 Azzuros had the back machined out of the spokes to clear Brembos so yes they are a different shape.

Speedy Infernos mentioned earlier in this thread are no longer available

Just wanting to check this.

18" Azzuroes that fit over 4 pot Brembos will also clear 6 pots?

Sorry if I appear slow on the uptake but these can be expensive mistakes...

Every wheel I've seen that fit 4 pot also fit 6pot, i dont think there is any real difference in size, maybe slightly longer.. But they wrap around the disk slightly more, not making the caliper any fatter
