Default Economy of 85 Laser?

I was just wondering if anyone knew roughly what the consumption figures are for an 85 Laser, 1.6 I think? Definately carby.

I've got a couple of lasers around that can be made into one good car - thinking of keeping the falcon just as a weekend car, it's just using far too much petrol for my liking.

Yep Lasers with carbys are shit. They use more fuel than my 2.2l EFI TX5. My mate is always complaining about filling up. Not sure about the figures but id say they would be pretty high considering my mates case. The best thing i can recommend if your gonna stay with a carby is dont floor it everywhere should save you a bit.

I had a '85 KB Laser Ghia 5speed with 120,000klm's and it was a gem, I used to get 6.5litre/100 on the hwy and around 8-10 in town, as long as the engine is healthy and tuned well a carby engine can be just as economical as EFi, there only down fall is a little underpowered.

A healthy 1.6 B6 engine should be getting between 350-450 to a full tank. (35l)
