Unhappy One Ford departing my family. SAD..........

Things you do when family comes first. With a newborn at early stage but will need to meet financial commitments for an expanding family, having discussed with my wife and I we decided to give up her AUII Fairmont Ghia for something smaller and alot more economical. We'll be getting her a Hyundai Excel, would help alot when petrol prices are constantly on the rise. We'll both be sad cos' we both love the fairmont. I'll keep the BA Wagon as it will be our main family car.

Totally understandable Pete. Family comes first.

Have you considered gas conversion. With the $2k rebate, you shoul dbe able to gte one done for under $1k out of poclket to yourselves (baby bonus will cover that), and you'll save that back in the first 12 months, depending on use. Much better than going to a Hyundai or something, and just as cheap - if not cheaper. I'm sure Falcon parts are cheaper than imported cars, even small ones like the Hyundais, Kias etc.
