Just saw it on ACA. It was a VY SS ripping skids through suburbia, silly boy. And yes his plates were there to be clearly seen a number of times. I love the way ACA are so quick to label him "Australia's dumbest hoon"

Agreed!

WTF, how can you guys hang it on ACA for airing footage of a tool who most certainly needs his wings clipped.

Theres no doubt thses shows are full of scum journalism, but every now and then someone sticks their head out and deserves the attention.

I hope the authorities bend this guy over and make an eample of him.

Heard today that Hoon driving may be upgraded to a criminal offence and not just a traffic offence.

why because they want to get an idiot of the road's, have you got kid's, friend's/ family, did you not see the idiot drifting around the roundabout while car's were infront of him going about their normal day to day life, How would you react if you were in one of those car's infront with your family, would you feel safe and be happy,
When thing's don't go our way, why is it one of the 1st responses people say is, take your story or complaint to ACA and the likes, get your message accross, then people will listen, how hypocritical are we.

When did ACA on that segment class all enthiusts that like's car's as hoon's, I never heard or read or seen that, so tell me when they did please???
Get over the media hype that all show's are out to get us, this story was clearly about "one certain individual" that did something irresponsible and then gloated about his action's to the world, and is still out there driving as we speak.

Exactly and so it should be , because I would allmost say for sure that if this idiot had of actually killed or serioulsy injured someone, he would probably get of with a suspended sentence or something like a slap on the wrist, because we have to protect those that have such little respect for other's probably because he had such a hard childhood and his parent's never hugged him as a kid, it's wrong that they never learn from their own action's.

What do the authorities expect. Sure there are "hoons" out there that go too far but there is no where for them to go to enjoy their pride and joy.

The government / authorities in my opinion should organize more events on a regular basis that allow such people to show off their car and be able to enjoy what their hard earn dollars have got them, out of harms way. These same events should also promote safe driving in the community and offer courses designed for people to learn how to handle their car, respect their car, and provide a broader understanding of driving as a whole. Just doing your 120 hours and a test (which mind you the instructor basically shows you have to pass) is a joke.

I understand this may provoke more erratic driving on the roads, but in hind site you will always get people who just don't learn in all aspects of life. At least this way you provide an opportunity to everyone to enjoy and hopefully learn / reeducate.

P.S:- In Germany my boss told me it takes 3 months before you get your license which involves going to school and practical and cost approx $1000, with no L's or P's involve. This gives "SO my boss says" A better appreciation of driving, the rules of driving a car and the respect of driving it deserves.

Whats your thoughts everyone??

Firstly the fool needs to have his *** kicked into next year
But I agree with VZTRT that governments need to start focusing on training people how to drive and stop blaming everything on speed
Until they change their mentality we will keep seeing tools like this
And yes ACA and TT are crap programs, but hey, they wernt the ones driving like a lunatic on public roads

What!!! you have got to be joking, where does it say in the foreword of the owners manual of the SS Commodore, 'congratulations on the purchase of your new vehicle, it was built to break the law, enjoy'.

First and foremost a car is a mode of transport from a to b. If you chose to use it for extra curriculum activities thats fine, your parogotive, however, doing it on public roads is not acceptable regardless of other restrictions.

Just because your fortunate enough to own a nice car, doesnt make it ok to rip it up on public roads because you have no other options.

We also need to get over this mentality that the goverment is to blame, it is all to do with the word "RESPECT" which these people have very little of.

If people weren't idiots, going out and hooning, then perhaps crap like TT and ACA wouldn't have ammunition...

Hi, your are right in what you are saying and I totally agree with you. And i do not in any wat condone any form of hooning on our streets and motorways thus the reason way there should be an educational outlet for such people. An example would be I was in the CFA for 2 years. The fire captain at the time told me there use to be a bon fires held every weekend. This would pull in attract all sorts of people including fire bugs. These fire bugs had urges. These bon fires would help relieve these urges and in some cases prevent more fires occurring. Once these bon fires ceased they noticed a increase in fires started by fire bugs as they had no outlet.

The same principal would apply here. Obviously it would promote in some cases Firebugs to fire as would hoons to hooning but it would also provide an out let. Like anything in life you have too much of something you no longer feel a strong urge for it anymore or as much anyhow resulting in an decrease of incidents. Booze buses are a good example. Sure people will still drink and drive but there are some people including myself who will always think twice before getting in the car drunk.

Adelaidecrows: I do try. The police at least in my area have done a very good job at controlling the thursday, saturday racing and burnouts that go on. I'm really not a big journalistic news fan, just idiots winging about stuff that would not have occurred if they had only paid their rent, or had any kind of intelligence for that matter. As for idiots racing in the backstreets, Years ago when it was a problem in my area, i would lay in bed wishing i had a black speedway car that i could take out quickly and run these idiots off the road, so i can get back to sleep, as some of us have to work in the morning.

With all due respects, inviting a few firebugs round for a bbq is a little different to providing a government funded skid pan for 1% of the population.

Now i and quite a few other guys on here will pay the price for that guy in the SS's behaviour now every time a cop notices we're driving a shiney V8. not because of OUR driving but because of OTHER more irresponsible people like this turkey. I am literally frightened of the police, im a full grown man, im not scared of burglars, im not scared of being attacked at a traffic lights, im scared of being picked on and harrassed again and again just for existing on a public road, if i slip a wheel on gravel turning a corner they can crush my fricken car. The one i need to get me to work and pay for my family. Every now and then a guy like this pops up and it doesnt take long for the police to get them, but the terror of the police is always ever present.
