Unhappy Warning lights intimitant

Bear with me I know this is long.

Well I recently reset the ECU (just for the hell of it) I've also just installed an aftermarket headunit and sub.

First off, the ABS warning light has decided to come on for a few k's, then turns off. I thought this might be due to shoddy dash wiring so I did a break test while it was on and promptly had a full lockup with NO ABS! I just slid accompanied by a nice cloud of tyre smoke.

I found this alarming and turned the car off, waited, turned it back on and suddenly everything is ok. So i've gone for my drive to the other side of Brisbane, halfway BOTH the traction control and abs warning lights are on.

Stopped car, waited, started car, still there. Drove home, both lights suddenly turn off as I came to a stop, soon as I took off they are back on. Stopped the car for a good 10mins or so, back to normal... any idea what on earth is going on?
