About 50%. A proper NASCAR engine makes around the 800 hp mark, at around 9500 rpm.. the most impressive part is that its around 360 cubes of V8, with a 390 cfm airflow restrictor plate.

I wont say which team it was but a few years ago I saw a V8 Supercar on the street late at night cruising some backstreets. I heard it before I saw it sounded incredible on the road on it's own.
PS It was a Falcon

Yeah id say its an ex-promo car. As with the v8supercars they have promo cars identical to the race cars, but obviously without the race engine they have next to no exhasut system its like cut off at the cat (had a look under one as it was being moved around)...Still would be feckin awesome cruising the streets in a nascar....
