Default Phone presenter help

I have a S1 Forte wagon. I just got a nokia car kit for nix and wanted to put a presenter in. Problem.
After searching for photos, it seems the "low" model console is not made for the presenter. Can I just change out the console bin for a new one with presenter, or, is it typical Ford and I have to change the whole center console??
Help would be appreciated.

Dave

Nope it will fit in your console. The presenter actually screws into the console itself, so use some self tappers and it should all be sweet. I think a minor bit of cutting is required as well, but I forget where....

I did it to my old AU many years ago but the brain is a bit fuzzy as to where I had to cut. (Keep quiet Russell......)

Should fit without need to cut

Well, pulled the centre console out yesterday............no phone wire :
I'm hoping the D/H's that installed the CB in the slot under the radio didn't pilfer it for power etc.
Trouble is I can't get the radio out. I've made the tool up out of coathanger wire, but it still feels "stuck" one side will move a little with tool in but is still hitting on something other side doesn't move at all!
Pull both tools out the radio is rock solid.
Can I pull the front fascia off the dash(fan controlls etc.) and get to the radio that way, is the lock for the radio stuffed??
Lastly, if the wire for the phone is still there, what loom will it be coming from.
Thanks again

Dave

Phone wire is an additional loom you can buy from Ford which the connects to your carkit

Fascia cannot be taken off unless you remove radio first - do not push too hard because if you stuff the pegs up that hold it in you will never be able to get it out.
