Default pacey comps with standard cat?

The bloke at my local exhaust joint is telling me that you can't use pacey comps PH4480's with the standard ford Catalytic converter and i'll have to buy a new cat putting the price up.

Is this true? or is the bloke just trying to rip me off.

yep rip off. they did the same to me but when i looked into it its just easier to fit with a new cat. and of course you make more money. if your cat i in good nick keep it. i think you can download the fitting instructions for them off the pacemaker site anyway have a look.

yes u can reuse the original cat, however it can be a little tricky/painful fitting it as those cats are not straigh, but the front end is angled.

yup standard cats can be used.. a flange just has to be welded to the pipe and the pipes have to be changed to 2.5" and then it can just be botled to the extractors

I use the stock cats on mine pacey comps no problems yet. I may change them to 2 1/2 or 3in cats when there worn out.

Cheers Mark
