Default GT40 at Eastern Creek

Hi all.

There seems to be a few Ford fans here, so thought I'd sign up and share some photos.

I had the pleasure of helping prepare Iain Pretty's GT40 at Eastern Creek last weekend for the Sports Car Carnival (driven by Iain and John Bowe). And since I'm a photographer amongst other things... there was a bit of overlap in duties.

You can check out the full album for the GT40 and team here: http://www.flamestone.com/gallery/au...-eastern-creek

Enjoy.

Nice work ... also would be interested in seeing your other photography work as well ... there's a dedicate photography section within the Ford forums as well.

Will do. I'll dig out some of my favourites when I find the right place here.

But you guys have some serious content around here, so that might take me a while!

No!
I was at a JB drive day in my el xr8. He fanged everything brought along for the day, including a race-prepped r32 gtr, my chooka, and a 1.6 fwd laser!
And he never had a bad word to say about any.

So long as you're not including the new-ish Ford GT. They're rubbish compared to this Roaring Forties replica.

This one's been built and race prepared by Corse Motorsport for the sole purpose of being raced. The engineering is fantastic.

It's a photographer's secret trick of the light (at sunset). I could tell you all about it, but then I'd have to kill you. ;)

I'm flattered.

But probably looks a little dodgy coming from such a small version of the pic.

I can do full colour high quality canvas wall hangings if anyone is interested.

I may even be able to arrange for JB to do signed copies... Not promising anything, but if there's enough interest I'll ask him.

I had one to play with for a few days last year. Still have the 315/40s I destroyed up in the shed, lol. Couldn't get grip in any of the first three gears, even in fourth if the road was not perfect it could break away. It is certainly all animal. Looks hot too, but to drive it has nothing on a Porsche.

G’day Shane,
Thanks for posting these fantastic pics. I’ve been following the build of this car from when it was a bare chassis and it’s a awesome bit of gear.

Seeing this thing run when JB sticks the boot into it is an experience that isn’t easily forgotten.

Here’s a few pics of it that I’ve taken showing it in some detail. There’s also a few more pics of it in this thread.

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11278858

Cheers.
