How many kms have they done? Why don't you sell the complete car or is there something majorly wrong with the body?

Manual gearbox, with all items needed for an auto to manual conversion should get you between $1k and $2k.

Alas the days of a car under 100k... But mate if you are willing to part the car to bits you could easily come up with at least a few grand. Good nick interior, electronics, motor, box hell exhaust, badges or roof lining are worth something to someone, depends on how much time you got. Good lesson in opportunity/cost actually.

800 for live axle LSD sounds a bit steep? IRS maybe. and 1200 for XR front without bonnet?- only my opinion obviously. i got my front inc. bonnet for 350, and my 3.45 LSD centre and gears for 200. Maybe i got all my gear cheap but 550-2000 is a big difference.

I tend to agree with most of Racecraft's prices other than the diff.

As Mont5.0 has shown above, bargains can be had, but Racecraft's prices are closer to the norm in my opinion.

All the little things around the car that haven't been mentioned tend to add up alot quicker than you'd expect.

It is alot of work though, and you tend to get stuffed around by an awful lot of tyre-kickers.

I just bought a series 2 XR6 from the wreckers for parts for the race car.

Prices he quoted me were:

$900 for the Manual gear box
$1200for Engine

$1800 for both

I then asked him about the price for the whole car and i bought it for $2500
Mind you the front and rear bar were knackered, everthing else, including interior and mags, were in good nick.

Edit: Car had 105,000km on the clock
