Default 351kw AU3 XR8 Spotted

Hi All,

Saw one hell of an AU on the Monash freeway this morning. It was a dark Blue AU3 XR8 and had "351kw" marked in white lettering on the boot lid, it also had "HO" badges all over it.

Looked good with the 2 x twin exhaust pipes at the rear.

Does anyone know this car? Has anyone else seen it? 351kw is great output, I would like to know if it is Forced Induction or not.

I didn't get a great look at it as I ride a motorbike to work (I would love to drive my Ford to work but on the congested Monash freeway a bike beats everything!! Plus No e-tag, No parking fees and $15 to fill!!, Cant beat that)

Sounds like one of the Moffat/HO special. Runs a V2 supercharger, IIRC, and 351 would be conservative.

It's an AU XR. With a supercharger - not the first, and won't be the last. Nothing really special apart from the stickers, which you can get from anywhere that makes stickers.

Hate to be a Smart *** but sure it wasn't an BA, because i know a BA XR8 in dark blue, with Quads, 351Kw Badge on the rear and all.

I am positive it was an AU.

351kw was not a badge but was stickers. HO was a badge.

No need for anyone to comment if it's a useless post.

Couldn't get pics as detailed in original post (On a motorbike) but I was still interested if anyone knew of this car. I thought it was very unique with the stickers and badges so pics may not be needed.

Not that big a deal anyway.....I'm not going to have trouble sleeping if I don't get any responses.

No problem with factory badges, I just think getting a dyno run and then displaying it on your car is a little over the top.
