Default Tx3 kh Awd turbo laser

Hi guys I’m only new to this and I’m not exactly sure how this all works. I have a kh laser tx3 AWD turbo car which I am wanting to restore. I have surched high and low for a workshop manual as the standard laser manuals do not cover the AWD or the Turbo sections of the vehicle any help would be much appreciated thanks Ken327

I can't help you on the workshop manual but you should start a build thread in the project section here:

I'm jealous, I'd love one of these little weapons as a project car.

Was there a Mazda equivalent in terms of engine and drivetrain?

I believe the Famila was mechanically the same.

Remember as a kid these were attainable, not sure what you can do these days for their gearboxes as they were always the weak link. Or just people driving like hero's.

Hi GT legend thanks for posting the pictures what I need to know is the Awd gearbox and turbo details for tear down and repair and trouble shooting. Do you have one of these cars ? Do you know where I can get these manuals including the first three volumes. What is in the technical guide I would be interested to know. Thanks Ken327

Hi Ken327,

The section on the transmission and transaxle is 87 pages long, so I think it would be easier for me to try and scan then email you the associated pages. It would be too big to post on here unless someone can advise me how? PM or reply with your email address and I will try and get it for you, but wont be for a week or so as I am flat out with work.

No I don't have one of these cars, but I collect all things Ford. Not sure where you would get one of these now, I found mine at a closed down dealer auction through Greys online. The first 3 volumes are not specific to the AWD but rather just the normal KF Lasers, volume 4 is the supplement for AWD specific items.

The technical guide is basically a folded card a technician could put in his/her top pocket and it lists all specifications for that car such engine specs, tune up data, pressures, clearences torque specifications for nearly everything mechanical, ratios fluid specs etc. Mine was in the manual when I got it so bonus..

Do some serious searching on gumtree, ebay etc and from time to time workshop manuals pop up.

Also join the laser forum, like here there would be people who know alot about these and also may have some scans.

Good luck.
