I thought it resets automatically if you disconnect the battery for several hours?

santo, the car needs to relearn what you reset. just drive around for a while, and it should fix itself. If not, you've fried the ECU

ok set idle from throttle body a bit higher.. round 750 now it starts.. car is running awesome... good fun.. for some reason my water pump shaft is very wobbly and is making a sound so need to get that sorted tomorrow..

only other problem i have now is fixing the aircon which i started in a different thread..

so if anyone knows why an aircon compressor wont engage... by the way, light on control lights up, clutch engages when hooked directly to 12v... yes the belt is fine, no overriding the low pressure switch doesnt fix it...

Is it climate control or standard? Does the fan work? If not, check yer fan relay. The compressor wont engage if the fan isnt working. If all that works. Try bypassing yer evap case thermostat switch. It may be buggered.

Power to compressor=Fan relay - A/C dash switch - A/C thermostat - Low pressor cutout switch - high temp cutout switch. <- all these must be engaged for power to the compressor.

standard a/c

1. fan works - if a/c button is pressed and fan is off it still kicks in anyway

where is the evap case thermostat switch?

Hi my ea's a/c has the exact same problem and my mechanic said that if it has no gas then the clutch wont engage to protect itself, if there is nothing to compress than it wont compress type of thing...I think...I am just a layperson and I am getting mine fixed by my mechanic on Wednesday so I will let you know.
