Some say it has been a well known theory that it was Collins for a long time anyway.
Time for a new Stig, he's just ruined it for himself or maybe he's had enough of it. |

I hope he's done enough smart investing, etc with his money cause he's not going to be The Stig anymore. How exactly is "I've been The Stig for x years" going to make t a best seller?
The Stig is just that, The Stig. It's Top Gear's tame racing driver and that is all, there is no story. |

The Stig we like. But most TG fans couldn't care less about Ben Collins.
Hope it's worth it for him. He's just lost his job.

Why do they need to kill him off?
Sure, the hidden identity thing is a bit of a laugh, but the reality is even though they claim it was him, for all we know it could have been anyone in that suit. There are still questions raised, and I don;t care what the answers really are. How do they replace him on sick leave? If it wasn't for my beer gut it could have been me in the suit!! (  Oops, sorry, I forgot, I should mention my driving skills are not in the same league at all!)Also, for stunts like the flooded Escort & etc, perhaps they used stand-in's anyway? I say keep the guy. he can drive, but from now on, pull your head in and keep quiet. Culturally, perhaps our quest for full disclosure of all information ruins the fun in life. For me, revealing of the Stig's identity is like telling a kid Santa Claus doesn't exist. Some illusions are just worth keeping for the fun of it.

well that sux **** that we know now with certainty gives them an opportunity to have a "stig off" get multiple stigs in multiple colors and have them compete to see who is the "ultimate stig" I would love to see top gear do that I think it would be very entertaining

the stig was unmasked live back in like season 3 as being an ex-rally driver so that makes it 3 ppl who have now been the stig(UK TG only available to watch on-line)
1 as the black suited stig & 2 as the white suited stig

As if he couldn't have written the bloody book as The Stig? He would have sold a lot more books.

NO WAY could it ever be Ben Collins.....looks nothing like the Stig. One is a white faceless man that has an extremely high opinon of himself, the other wears a helmet and matching race suit.

I can only reiterate what's already been said in that nobody really cares who plays the role of the stig.
I don't know anything about Ben Collins and really don't want to. He is not the stig. The stig has been and always will be a mythical character. |

They threw black stig off an aircraft carrier, I think to kill this one off they should have another go at making a reliant robin space shuttle again, bigger, better and manned with a suited up driver. It either ends in a spectacular crash like last time or he gets abducted by aliens and does not return.
Stig should not be known, his identity is the stig, if we know his name he is not the stig. By the way, I do not think Sabine as the stig will ever happen. For reason why review this thread and other threads to do with the identity of the stig. Every time pink stig is mentioned everyone suggests Sabine, it would be too obvious.
