Default EA to EB rear parcel tray conversion...

only just noticed in my mates EB that his rear middle seatbelt is retractable to the parcel tray......wondering if its possible to do that settup in my EA??..

my EB is the same as the EA then :( i didnt think they came from the shelf.

It was after series 2 eb that they started putting the centre belt as a lap sash... you would have to check your parcel shelf to make sure there is a mounting point for the belt.

You would need to use the correct mounting point and not just a random hole you put there, as you would be compromising the safety of your passengers by using an incorrect mount, and possibly breaking the law too.

i'd say EA and EB 1 got sash laps, after EB got parcel shelf belts. i highly doubt that EA and EB 1's have a mounting spot for a parcel shelf belt.

so did you check to see if theres a spot for it? just look under the parcel shelf in the boot and if there is a spot you'll see a square dent.

The EBII did were not fitted with lap sash centre belts until early 1993.

On another note, isn't the parcel tray in the EAs completely different anyway? All the EAs I have seen dont have a sub hole and the speaker holes are closer together than my EBII.

I have a 93 EBII and it doesnt have the parcel shelf belt

BUT I have a mate with an EBII that does have it.

I was spewing.
