umm, depends which blinker your talking about.....if its the repeater on the front guards, a small flat blade screw driver slid gently between the guard and the indicator assembly will pop it off (i would recommend though a plastic, thin lever perhaps a plastic knife or kids flat blade...)in the boot..sedan, pull the carpet away take hold of the plug, twist and pull - wagon, pull the panel, then same as sedan. ute im unsure of. front lift the bonnet, grab the plug, twist and pull. hope this helps.

i dont know if the XR's are the same as falcons, but on a falcon you turn the front wheels in a fassion that gives you good access in the wheel well, unclip the plastic cover between the wheel and bumper and go in from there
earlier falcons had an access hole in the engine bay which was eliminated on au's

for the side repeaters you dont need to do any prizing - just pull them towards the rear of the car (there will be spring resistance) then pull out

Same deal on XR's. Just the indicator is located a little bit lower.

Go From Under The Car Follow The Wiring To The Conection And Turn Anti Clock. The Glob Holder Than Comes Out Cange Glob Than Put In Turning Clock Ways. Best Done Jacked Up But Don't Have To Just Stick Your Hand Up In Gap At Corner Of Bar And Have A Feel Around
