Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Ford couldn't fix my BlueTooth issue. This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.

Best thing about it: Cheap to run and doesn't attract cops and seems to have more go then the other small cars?
Worst thing: aftermarket Parts aren't available really here so it costs an arm and a leg to import them.
Best Mod: Secret compartment under radio, K&N Panel

Fiesta- picking up my WS 2011 Zetec in Vision this Saturday- lucky find at a dealership (brand new, only 50-ish kms!), had to go for it!
Best thing about it- the creature comforts! Air con, central locking, etc etc. Coming from a very old car, so I'm almost overwhelmed by the new features I am gaining!
Best mod done- none yet, or for a while I'd say. Love how they look and feel stock
Money no option mod- go to Ford HQ and get an XR4 built for me, haha!

I'm looking for a spare for the wife's car. Hopefully, someone in WA will get a CL (= base model), pick up some alloys and let the steel wheels go cheap.

Two things I would point out to you.

1. The Continental tyres on the Fiesta (WT) are quite soft, which is a price you probably pay for their excellent grip. This means you are vulnerable to nails etc. My wife managed to pierce tyres twice in the first couple of months she had the car, but fortunately has avoided that fate again in the next ten months.

2. The wheels on the WT are a different size to the WS (previous model Fiesta, though looks very similar). This means you need to be careful if you pick up a wheel from another Fiesta - it will only fit if it comes from a WT.

All in all, I'd be looking to get a spare ASAP, particularly if you do a lot of out of town/city driving.

Hank you In Focus for that information I really have no information about my tyres as I not investigated or researched at all as yet. I am first going to visit a tyre place where I trust the man in charge. I don't want to buy from Ford as the price is high and I wonder why I should give them more money when this seems to be just a money saving venture on their side. The web site tells me they decided that buyers would rather have vBluetooth technology etc than a spare. Well, they didn't ask me!

In the process of rejoining the Fiesta club. Sold our 2009 WS Zetec 5door 18 months ago as we needed the cash for other things at the time. My wife has missed it ever since, but we've been trying to make do with one car. Given up on the one car thing, so we've been looking at buying/leasing something small and economical new and were all set to get an i30 CRDi when we decided to buy a used Fiesta instead and save about $10k. Found a nice 3door Zetec in the same Vision blue we had, still under warranty at the right price. Just gotta sort out the finance and it'll be ours. Will post pics if/when I get it.

Afternoon All

I just picked up a 2015 Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0.

I tried to get our Ford Pro Dealer here to fit the MR165 kit from Mountune, but they said that the ECU on the Fiesta's over here are different to the European cars as ours are built in Thailand. Apparently they purchased a couple of these kits, fitted them, but they wouldn't work, so they got returned to Mountune. The kits are $2,500 and take the car from 120hp to 165hp, which would make them a surprising little car to have a crack at, at the odd traffic light.

Just had a chat with our local boys who have a Dyno and tune Falcons all day. They sounded really excited about having a crack at one of these cars.
So I might have a chat about what they can achieve without toasting the 5 year warranty.

The other weird thing they do over here is fit a front and rear bumper from 3dCarbon, but they don't fit the side skirts. I sent an email off to 3dCarbon to see if I could just purchase the side skirts (as they only have the whole kit on their website) and got a pretty blunt "Nah" response.

I haven't had a proper dig around on the forum yet, but if anyone can point me to a thread about getting a couple more hp out of the 1.0 it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Ben
