all the cars will have oil pump gears,

otherwise they would have no oil pressure :

But an oil pump gear change will mean it would be classed as opened

Pm Chris from bluepower, I'm sure he will know the answers to your questions as he probably tuned it

With or without oil pump gears.
Fastest unopened 260 auto, Bren260 BA XR8 ute 12.55@109, street trim. (I think that was his mph)
I know Chris did a 11.9 in his BA ute but had cam timing changed but still all stock internals, dont know of any other auto 260 that have gone quicker than Bren260

Fastest unopened 260 manual, Craig BA XR8 MKII ute 12.4@112 street trim, 12.1@114 race trim.

And all those cars still had std oil pump gears, as change them and its opened well in my eyes.

The 12.1 came from Craigs BA XR8 Ute, Chris was the driver on that pass.

Nah the original Blue beast MKI XR8 4sp auto ute was Chris's ute which did a 11.9, doesnt race it anymore, the Black one he races now use to be Hot460's ute (Rich).

What was your 60ft for the 12.8?

My ute was/is a 260. The nightmares with the cams moving about the place was a very expensive and stressfull proposition.

With totally stock 260 and no camshaft timing alterations the best i could manage was a 12.69, Bren's car that I tuned/drove went a 12.55 or so with Drag radials, i think the tailgate was on but may have had the seat removed????

If you have run a 12.8@106, using lightweight wheels and tyres and with tailgate and seat removed, you would pickup around 3-4 tenths, which would see you looking pretty well up there.

Just a quick one my car never had pump gears when it was running at the track. Pump gears were only fitted to my car 6 months ago or so

I seen one of your runs, you done a burnout that Victor Bray would have been happy with, but then you wheel spun for 100 meters the toyo's don't need a big burnout, that type of tyre gets to hot and goes mushy.
Anyway it sounded great..

I'm thinking it might be the FG that the boys have been racing , after all it is an XR8 but there arent 260's in the FG range anymore so I'd think that the 12.15 set some time ago by a white ute will drop very soon by the new FG range of XR8's with 290 engines.

Default Nev, hey Nev,

Hey Nev,

send me your flashtuner - reckon i might be able to find a tenth or two.

This car has always made impressive power - I can tell you now it's the fastest NA 260 auto period.

If those manual boys wanna tough talk Nev, I have a 6 speed here i may lend you, and we'll put the wind up Craig and his manual skirt wearing buddies and grab that elusive 11 sec pass.

I see them doing a bunch of talking, yet your's is out there producing solid numbers, so lets turn it up a notch.

A tenth or two hey, well that gets the AUTO car down into the 12.3's. You will have to find a couple more champ to get the record or half a second to get the elusive 11.......:

See you at the track...

Cheers CC
