Anyone know if a 1 inch spacer is to much so I can run taller rocker covers to fit stud mounts with an RPM2 on a efi windsor. Trickflow also do a 3/8 phenolic spacer but unsure if this will be enough.

yeah the tps will hit the bonnet insulation with a 1"one an if you loose/have-a-worn-out a engine mount it will dent the bonnet in that spot, 1/2" fits. heres one, sorry for the ebay link https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12MM-MAN...-/401415924165

Thought I would add some more context.
Looking at options for heads/cam at the moment. Looking at the AFR 165 pedestal mount but just figuring out what would need to be done to go with a stud mount 11r 190 heads combo. Main issue seems to be clearance issues with stud mounts.

A little trick I learned years ago is make some dough, flower and water, or if you have blue tack or plasticine on hand. Roll it into a a length, cut it to the required height, 1” for a 1” spacer and put it on the highest point and close the bonnet. It will compress to show exactly how much clearance you have and won’t damage a thing.

Nearly all the aftermarket rocker covers are too tall, but the trick flow ones are a nice height to clear roller rockers, but not too tall to touch the intake manifold. |
