Default Fuel filter?

Petrol has stopped working on my duel fuel set up. Got a feeling its the pump as I run the tank dry a couple of times. But Im thinkinhg I should check the filter first to make sure this isnt the problem. Where is it and what should you be checking exactly? thanks.

Default

Inside left hand frame rail in front of rear axle. Depressurise fuel lines before undoing by removing fuel pump relay and running engine until it stops (or get sprayed in the face with fuel). If dirty back fuel runs out when you disconnect it that is a clear indicator but the filters are relatively cheap and should be replaced at least every 3 years or 80,000 km so just replace it anyway.
