I was just wondering if there is any real difference between the AUII XR8 2000 and 2001 model. Im planning on buying either one, just wondering if anyone on here as a bit of knowlege on the difference between the years

The 2001 model had 220kw whereas the 2000 model had only 200kw (i think...)

Gday Dave,

The 2000 Model is the 200Kw version. Late 2001 Ford/Tickford decided to up the power ante, and whacked the 220kw engine into the series two, before the release of the AU3. Go for a AU2 built Nov onwards. This model is unique because it has got all the go fast bits including GT40P heads, Tickford big throttle body, stainless steel extractors, and a true IRS sports suspension taken out of the Yank Mustang. It is debatable, but the BA/BF setup would find it hard to match the AU2/AU3 setup.
