Default Xmas Lights Cruise 20th Dec

I guess many of you will have departed the region or at least be getting ready to head off for the Xmas break.

However, who's up for a Christmas Lights Club Cruise on the evening of Thursday 20th Dec?

I'll do a little research and come up with a meeting point and start time depending on where the majority of the good ones are.

I had a look on 106 for the Chirstmas light list, but its not up just yet. I think they are only taking registrations.

Just went on a Xmas light cruise with PROUTES ( 12 cars ) just around south canberra, some great houses out their with heaps of lights very slow getting around them though... The cruising cars looked just as good as the lights..

Thursday is lookin' good. A little tinsel and a reindeer or two on the V8s would just about do the trick to lighten up Santa's show ponies. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Yeah, we can carry the weight without any performance detriment (all that V8 torque).

Having spoken to some who did a similar cruise last week, I suggest we set off about 8.30pm. Its a pretty slow haul down some streets and most get turned off about the 10.30pm mark.

Route is still to be decided. What's the preference; North or Southside. We wont have time to do both.......majority vote will win.

We getting a poll? If not, I don't care, either side of town (but if it comes down to a vote - north side).

I deeply regret that I am a late scratching from this event. Thursday evening is the only chance I'll have to go Xmas shopping with my daughter. Good luck with the cruise and happy new to all. See ya next year.

Paddy, I have penciled in the meeting at the Deakin Club on about the 17 Jan 08.
