Default Ford au , te50 v8 coolant issue help please

Hi guys,

I have a te50 which Was handed down to me from family and I’m trying to diagnose the coolant boil issue.
After 10-15mins idle the coolant bottle will started to boil crazy.

What I’ve looked out for,
Seems like it’s got a new water pump (someone tried to fix it before)
I put a new thermostat and also tried with no thermostat
No oil mix (in water or oil)
When on idle at the start doesn’t seem to have air in the coolant system

And one have any ideas before I start taking the motor out for major head damage?

Thank you guys in advanced.

Have you checked the recovery reservoir cap is holding pressure? See https://rxmechanic.com/symptoms-of-a-bad-radiator-cap/ and https://www.holtsauto.com/prestone/n...lant-bubbling/ etc

Quote:
Cooling System Pressure Cap

To maintain pressure, cooling systems rely on a pressurised cap that keeps the system at a constant pressure while allowing coolant/antifreeze to flow to the expansion reservoir. If the cap develops a fault or is replaced with one that’s not compatible with the system, air can get into the system and cause problems.

Symptoms:

Bubbling in the coolant/antifreeze reservoir
Bubbles around the cap seal
Overheating
Also check the spring in the lower radiator hose has broken or partially rusted away so the hose is collapsing; hold the outside of the hose from below while someone pulse revs the engine.

Use a TK Tester? I think you will find it’s got exhaust gases in the cooling system. Which says head gasket problem.

Radiator fans working?

If the water pump's turning, thermostat opening and fans running it should not boil at idle...
