As we hit the new Year, a reminder the Cars of the World -take 2- is on jan 30th at Rochford. Many may recall it got cancelled in Nov due to torrential rain.
Entry forms are available here. it's celebrating 50 years of the Falcon, so want to have as many there as possible. Entry is $25 to pre-enter or $30 on the day before 11am. There are just under 300 cars already entered. Meet: Cinema Carpark, Chirnside Park shopping centre, Maroondah Highway Chirnside Park Leaving at 9:30am Contact: Karyn

A recent study found the average Australian walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found Australians drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, Australians get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be an aussie. |

What a day - 40 degrees but plenty of breeze and some awesome cars there.
Club member Dan walked away with a trophy on his first outing in his AU, and we were the winners of the BEST CLUB DISPLAY. The concourse winner of the event was an amazing 1912 Rolls Royce. The owner drove it there with the Cavalcade which started at the Wheelers Hill Hotel (= no mean feat). He started it up, a 7 point turn later and off he went. Yeah yeah I know it's old, but think of it this way- next year the car is 100 years old
