Default Cool slow motion drag racing vid.

Check this vid out. Its superslow motion of really fast cars. They have serious traction issues.

Man! what an exellent vid.
Wonder why the green light appears to be pulseing?
Whether its to do with the camera frames or possibly thats how the light works. Just too fast for our eyes to register it.

A normal bulb flashes on and off 50times a second (the frequency of our electrical system) and is usualy too quick for our eyes to see. However at 1000frames/sec the light should flicker at about 1.2hz.

True story; it's happened a few times.

The tyre grips the ground so hard that the rubber rolls up on the ground in front of the tyre and the tyre has to drive over the roll of rubber.
While that's happening it creates another roll and drives over that.
You can see the rim start to distort as well on the funny car.

It's like driving a ride on lawn mower over badly corrugated road at 80 kph.
It breaks chassis and tranmissions in half. Even in a slow non supercharged car the driver can have a massive headache for a moment when it happens.

Awesome video. I knew they had trouble keeping traction, but that video just put it in perspective.

I must think of a way to get the EL doing that...
