Default BA RTV big brakes

Hi Matt,

What would be the best front braking setup for an RTV with the 16" Sunraysia steel rims?

Won't be able to go any bigger than your current setup with 16 inch rims. Minimal would be 17inch rims so you can runs turbo falcon/ territory front brakes.

You want to find a set of the PBR 325mm front brakes.

Bloody hard to find. Way better than the 322mm stuff.

325mm setup = 32mm thick rotors and better calipers.
322mm setup = 28mm thick rotors and standard Falcon calipers.

Both will require 17" rims.

What Phil said. I tried to fit the sunraysia over a few different setups when I had my RTV. Needs 17s at least for anything bigger.

Well that pretty much answers than then. Thanks guys always good to get feedback from people who have tried and tested.
Last option is some DBA T3 Slotted rotors and some DS Performance brake pads for std size replacement.

It might have to be the last option, I like the 16" sunnies too much

Well..... I'm gonna chime in here that I recently purchased a Jan 2006 BF XR8 ute that needs some TLC

Well.... first thing I did (literally backed it off the trailer and onto the shed floor and it had jacks under it) was swap a few wheels around so I could drive it, and the first wheel I tried was one of the spares from my RTV, and I can confirm that the RTV sunrasias DO clear the 322mm front brakes that are standard on a BF XR8

I was running out of daylight so I cant confirm how much clearance there is (looked to be next to nothing), but the wheel bolted up to the hub happily and turned without any bad noises.
