Default Superyob Tuesday

Ok folks, Superyob Tuesday is back! But not really. This time I have a blandly inoffensive topic of conversation, not aimed at any persons, real or imaginary, green or otherwise and we will NOT mention a very fast Aurion…

Apparently it could do 0 to 100 in less than 5 seconds...

Seriously...

Anyway, my topic revolves around the distance to empty readouts in my BF and 2015 Kuga. A couple of months back, I noticed that both vehicles, around the same time, started reading 50 to 60 kays less than they would normally when the tank was filled. I always put in the same fuel from the same 2 or 3 stations. Coincidence, or conspiracy???

Oh come on, it's nearly midnight, I've been in lock down for a bazillion years and I am extremely bored. This is the best I could do...

Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

It’s a conspiracy. Those capitalist pig servos are out for you, Tovarishch Yobsky. You’re being subtly re-educated one DTE at a time.

217000 kms for ute, 39000 for Kuga. Both read lower within days of each other...

Were both vehicles filled from the same pump, or the same underground tank? If yes, and you bought premium, you could have got 91 by accident. (someone filled the underground tank with the wrong fuel), or you got a dodgy batch with low octane levels.

Shouldn't change the DTE reading though. Not immediately.

DTE is calculated on driving behaviour. Maybe your behaviour has changed enough (running the Air Con more given it's been a hot summer).

Possible, but I don't drive the Kuga except to fill it up. It's my wife's car...

Doesn't mean the same environmental factors didn't affect her.
