Talking Got my baby back tonight

After some "spirited" driving last saturday night which saw my car go go home on a flat bed from A.I.R. I finally picked up her up today. It had been sitting idle all week at my tuners workshop as we were trying to sort out diff options thinking it was the diff that had gone.

After not having much action I rang my local Ford Dealer today who told me to get it down there and they would look at it next week. Tuner arranged for the car to be taken there on a truck .

Ford Dealer rings me at lunch time today...thought he was going to tell me the car had arrived but he told me he had fixed it. Turns out it was the CV that I had broken. He knew what it was immediatley as they had replaced 6 recently that had all broke.

Worked out well as it was all covered under warranty.

Forgot how great it was to drive this thing even though it had only been a week.

Now I need to decide if it will go back out on the strip again :

Cheers

Brad

Good stuff Brad, there has been quite a few breaking CV's....supposedly one of the weakest links in the driveline. Pretty pricey to get a custom one made up too

Still thinking of another diff?

Yeah but if you get strongr CV then it puts more pressure on the diff,CVs are cheaper to replace I bet.

Great to hear that your baby is back on the road.
I think you need to go to as many strip clubs as possible to make up for the week without having the car. This is what you meant wasn’t it. :hihi: :

Cheers, Danny

When they give way in stock cars you know there's an issue.

I dont think they even bother asking anymore as they would be replacing so many of them. I broke 2 of them and sheared an axel in 1 hit in a stock car. When it let go it damaged the diff so i have a new diff on the way to. I'd under stand if i dropped the clutch from the limiter time after time but to let go from just giving it a bootfull is rubbish.

Good to see you got your car back Brad and that all is well. Your addicted now how could you give it up. I bet you wont be on here in the next fews days, you'll be out hooning around now that you got the red barron back. It's ok mate i understand the feeling.
