(not trying to be a cheapo but the cdplayer is stuffed and only the radio works which isnt really worth $18). cheers

They differ from car to car, have a look in your manual, if your lucky the prior owner may have written it in there

If its not written anywhere in your car, your only option is to get it from ford. If the codes were universal it would defeat the purpose of having it.

Some (few) dealers may actually help you out, ring around, but it's probably still going to cost you something........I was lucky as I know someone at Ford who was kind enough to help me out, then I just recorded the code in a safe place. In your case it may be time to replace the unit, even with a used item. But make sure it comes from a reputable source & has a security code. Not sure, but from memory, you only get a certain amount of attempts to input the code, then it shuts down completely.

Try another dealer
If you have current rego papers they will do it
I have done it several times and never had to pay for it. Try the dealer who sold the car origionally (if you know who it was)

unfortunately, no, as most people have said in here, there is no universal code to enter, just bite the bullet and spend the dollars if u dont want to get the code from the guy u bought it from. personally, id be replacing the unit with a kenwood head unit and not worry about the factory one.
thats just me though
