IMO i think the 19" FG wheels would suit the AU better

I have the G6E 17's on mine, I love the look but I dont think they would suit the XR. I was going to go for the 18' XR8's but thought 17's where enough for a daily.

The F series rims are the best Ford have made in ages, pity FPV couldn't follow suit.

So fg 18s will definitely fit without any mods or inserts onto an AU
1?

That is correct ... as long as you have standard brakes though.

Everything AU onwards is interchangeable ... same PCD/offset.

I believe they are! Car is going alright- Those wheels have my semi slicks on them so only get seen at the track.

Best SMP GP Lap is ~1:58.5, best Wakefield lap is 1:14.25. Semis make a big difference! Best at Wakefield without them was 1:16.9 and I rekon there's at least another second off the above times when I get more comfortable.

Anyway...back on topic: That pic above looks awesome!
