When I get a chance Ill scan and post up the wiring diagram.
DDarby obviously knows what he is talking about and as mentioned previously I phoned pioneer direct whom confirmed as well.

Yeah i should be able to do it in the next few day, i'v been real busy of late.
I just need someone with a standard power ariel to figure out which wire is the power wire and which one is the trigger wire, and where they run Cheers PS. Should get to writting it and taking pics in the next couple of days. (here's hoping)

I have the Pioneer DEH-9650 deck, supposedly top of the range, and for the most it is very good, except I can also confirm that it does not have a separate antenna trigger, mine is also wired into the amp remote. Quite frustrating when I helped install my mate's $179 Sony JB special and it does have one. Luckily my car has a 2 stage height adjustment switch for the antenna, so most of the time I drive around with it at 'half' height.
