Default Refreshing change!

Since we've all made the trek over to ff.com.au has everyone noticed just how much more brightly, fun, friendly and flowing it is now?

I wont go into another this site vs the other site thing but it's really good to browse around these ones without any narkiness, sh*t stirring (the bad sort) and general unhappiness. Everyones getting along like a good old booze up at the local and thats the way it should be!

Who feels the same?

yep gotta agree with that, I think this site will do very well as long as it doesnt end up like the original FF. There was a stage there where you'd sign in to FF and not be able to find where you left off! CONSTANTLY changing the layout and features, gave me the shits!

You know the other forum used to be like this a long time ago.
Who's to say this place won't become like the other forum in 3 - 4 years time....time will tell but I hope it doesn't.

As sites grow attitudes can change but hey I dont reckon(without sounding like a suck) this place could really have kicked off better with the guys that are presently at the helm.
Bout time I say.

I agree to an extent... it's like it has still got the new car smell... hopefully it doesn't wear out.

The issue is that when it's a small tight community, this is how it feels... it's the growth that FF's acheived that made the place allot more sterile??? either way, i hope it remains and is managable, i'm sure the guys stearing the boat will do a great job!

There is no guaratee of the future .. we all want this to stay the same but people come and go and people also change. In the end we are all part of this community and therefore how the place feels.
I for one hope it stays this way for good.

Big group hug!

I'm enjoying myself, I think it becomes a problem when people get a bit too serious about the whole thing. This site is growing at an amazing rate and is only going to get better.

Plus its only 3 hours to beer'o'clock. Can today get any better?

Everyone is really enthusiastic at the moment because it's new.
Once we get established and comfortable things might change. And obviously the bigger it gets the harder it will be to please everyone.
But as long as we all respect each other it should be fine.

This is my virgin post here... I was really getting fed up with the 'other' site and have felt a little discouraged about it for a long while. Ultimately, I knew that a site like this one would surface eventually, im just happy it finally did!

Great job guys!

FF kind of lost me after the google ads took over. It was bad enough down the side but in between posts? I thought donations was to keep the ads out of it. It got like having pay TV with ads in the movies.

Funny about this site popping up. I decided to give up FF a week ago and was wondering what I'll use for a home page.

actually funny thing about it - suddenly those google ads between posts have retreated back to the side. its true i think that hurt lunatic and his site more than many would think, it broke up the posts and generally annoyed the hell out of people.

but at the end of the day, i felt like lunatic was just milking all the money he could, cut down the services so he didnt have to pay for as much bandwidth and then stuck it to us by shoving the ads in our face.

Exactly, I felt insulted to be honest. But it's behind us now, I'm enjoying this place for sure (at 11 am on new year's day.....I should be in bed hungover).
