Default Need some advice

Hello all. I live on a farm and i own a Territory the problem im having is there are either mice or rats getting in the engine bay as i have noticed there droppings on the rocker cover. I have recently noticed there starting to get the tatse for some of the wiring there yet to chew through any but have chewed the black protective tape. What do you all suggest i do or put in there to stop them i have rat bait but not sure about leaving that in the bay

Thanks for any help

You need to get them away from the engine bay to start with.
Leave some poison meat out away from the car.

Honest question, do you have a cat? If you do, put the cats bed near the car so the cat will start sleeping near it. Mice and rats can smell cats and will probably keep away.

Growing up the best thing you could have on a farm was a cat to keep the mice and rats away, its an old fashioned solution but it works.

Seriously, bugger bait
set traps
its the only way to be sure
i set bait once
rat died in the middle of the shed floor
so it was just as bad as a trap anyway
except i couldn't control where it died

should be able to get camphor (i think i spelled it wrong, sorry) from your local supermarket. I think the missus got the last lot from Woolworths. They come prepackaged in packs of four i think with little hooks on them so you can hang them off things like the wiring loom. I use them in cars that i have in storage to keep the pests away. Works really well for me
