Default DVD GPS Screen Unit for FORD FIESTA 2009

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DVD-GPS-BLUET...d=p3286.c0.m14

Anyone seen one of these in a Fiesta yet? Is it a european version or just a complete fake?

Interesting if it is real....

Very interesting, I've always thought it would be cool to turn the screen in to a dvd screen/player

Just some Chineese knock-up. It sounds good, but the buttons and overall look are quite horrid so I'll pass. Now if they offered it with a better looking interface and a proper operating system (Mac OSX SL) then I'd be seduced!

I just had to mention the operating system lol. My work laptop died, again. Down with Microsoft! Haha.

Very interesting. I like the idea but I’ll wait for an Australian one before buying overseas, safer. Agree with Rapid

Sort of looks dodgy and coming from Hong Kong seller, the warranty would be worthless.

Ever since I started usin Mac, I've never turned back to Microsoft. Microsoft isn't reliable and frustrates the hell outta me.

You'll never get one of these things running on anything but windows CE.

The Chinese make em by the million, with different cases and external wires to fit different vehicles - if you look at all of the models for different vehicles shown on the Ebay add, they all have different looking cases and screen shapes, but they are the same inside.

The software is written to run on CE - it is the biggest market and they can pick it for the different functions from different software companies.

I have one of these in my VW Eos - the interface is pretty nasty, but the unit is good value compared with the OE price of a VW unit.

Biggest drawback is that the software can be buggy - and shipping it back to the vendor to get it fixed is at your cost.

I bought my VW one from a local guy who imports and supports them - costs more that way, but he at least will get them fixed.

If someone was doing the same thing with these units for $800 they would be good value.

Only other problem is the mapping - you will probably have issues updating it.
