Holiday Inn quarantine hotel to close as Victorian authorities investigate COVID-19 cases

Quote:
The Holiday Inn quarantine hotel at Melbourne Airport will close until further notice as an investigation into three coronavirus cases gets underway.

The government agency responsible for Victoria's hotel quarantine system, COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (QCV), said all staff and residents at the hotel during the exposure period of January 27 and February 9 were considered primary close contacts and would need to quarantine.

There was a GOP senator on Fox News a couple of months ago saying that the proof that it came from a lab was the "fact" that it was NOT mutating lol.

Has any other reputable government pushed the lab theory?

The WHO had 1 month to do as much as they can on the ground, and they wasted a few days at the lab just to prove a point they already knew.

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT February 9th, 2021.

Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting.

3 new cases for Australia and no deaths so the CMR is 3.150%.

2 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.077% and active cases 67.

The UK had 12,364 cases yesterday and 1,052 deaths.

Just under 91k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,591 deaths sees CMR down to 1.720%. That's the second (consecutive) day under 100k cases since November 3rd. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences.

Other notable points:
Global cases pass 107M, the last 1M in 3days;
Spain passes 3M cases;

Jamaica (403);
Sri Lanka (976); and
Albania (1,249)

... recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day.

Wow, agreed with Trump, embarrassing (on this subject) in my view. Why didn't he drop that knowledge with all the other **** he dropped ?
WHO and UN manipulated, where is the proof of that, dont quote western MSM, or facebook, twitter journalism.
Where are facts available that WHO and UN compromised or are you reading some wannabe, get their mellon on screen ?

Happy to be corrected but I suggest bull**** by western media

Have a goosey gander at this... Australia's Minister for Health, Greg Hunt Tweeted this morning that Australia has secured 10 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine... but it seems he maybe indicating it's for Liberal states only?? What's the go with attaching a Liberal logo for a vaccine announcement meant for all Australians??

https://twitter.com/GregHuntMP/statu...77406189051904

This on top of the news that vaccines will be distributed to the residents of the Liberal state of NSW first?? What an absolute joke!

Not seeing the problem. Have to look after the Australian capital first, serving class states thereafter

Dunno whats worse, the fact they used tax payers money to fund a political party campaign, or the fact he tried to defend it when challenged on ABC

The WHO has been in China's pocket for years?

And would you trust the same WHO that denied covid was even capable of being spread human to human, as they did in the early months of the pandemic? That little F up resulted in it being spread across the world. All because they were either incompetent, or trying to protect China's reputation.

They are a joke of an organization. If the Chinese didn't want it covered up, then why did they stop the WHO talking to the wuhan lab scientists? And only letting them into China to investigate over a year later?

Scientists can easily be bought off you know. Or ones sympathetic to the CCP's cause brought in. We all know the CCP will do whatever is necessary to protect it's reputation.

This tweet from the WHO pretty much tells you all you need to know about them, and their CCP masters. I wonder how many lives could have been saved if they didn't do China's bidding, and locked down Wuhan at the start?

Everyone sucked up to China for too long. Are the chinese the master of the world now?
Australia sucked up for coal, food and ore exports. Tech businesses sucked up for cheap production, the WHO sucked up because if they didn't they wouldn't be allowed into the country (their belief was play the game and maybe a little good could be done, otherwise it could be worse with them not even allowed in the country). Not defending them, it's just what I've heard from them.

China play hard and got everyone singing their tune because they wanted what we had, and we wanted what they've got; so without trade wars everything ran a little smoother. What is the world going to do about China now is the question.

Trump commended Xi on the response right at the beginning, remember that? Was he in China's pocket? What a logic. Slagging off the WHO was a ridiculous tactic to deflect attention away from Trump's mismanagement. The WHO can only respond based on the information provided to them. And from accounts, it sounds like they were provided with very selective bits of info which made their life difficult in the beginning.

The US contribution to WHO was 3 times more than China at the time, yet the WHO was in China's pocket. Insane. Whats the next theory? Everyone in WHO has a secret account with billions of yuan? Yes, that's been floating around too. The WHO is a massive organisation with reps from all over the world, any deliberate cover up of this scale would be leaked quite quickly.

Some inconvenient facts:
21st Jan 2019, the WHO advised that there was evidence of human to human transmission.
22nd and 23rd Jan - IHR Emergency Committee was convened and had reps from most of the developed world, including Australia. The committee decided not to declare the situation a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). The reason being....."Economy".

The "world" knew, but the world took a calculated risk to keep things open to save the economy. It didn't work. Learn from it for the next one. It took 10 years to get to the bottom of the SARS origin, but we start slagging off the WHO because they didn't find all the answers in a month.

How about Submarine Man’s exemption to quarantine at a house? Double standard or what?

I have a dental work quote of nearly $40K here, it would be 1/3 that in Eastern Europe, even with the travel. While I’d like to go, the hotel quarantine on return would send me crazy - can’t live without fresh air on my face. I’d be happy to get dumped at some rural or fringe property for a fortnight or more of solo renovation, would be a win-win. But since I don’t build submarines it’s unlikely to be offered.

Yeah, that's the problem with STEM type people and orgs, I guess you need one of their own to head it for any type of legitimacy, but they couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery. You need better communicators, organisers and wily people to deal with the leaders of nations. Otherwise you don't get leadership, you just get internal spats, jealousy etc.

Interesting, considering that residents aren't even allowed to order Uber eats, this would be a major breach of protocol, if true. Defence won't make a difference, they are already manning the lobby, so this bloke got passed them too it seems.
