Top speed comp sounds good, with a lap competition I tihnk its to easy to cheat, thats why I thought the first GT4 comp was closed.

if you cheated to win a a small competition, between forum members, then you need the prize to make your life worthwhile :P

We could just make it so we can go all out and mod the crap through the car and then race that to see who can be the quickest? BTW I got 462km/h in my escudo in GT3

nope didnt see it....probably failed because people cheated and modded cars? or just because you couldnt be certain that the car wasn't modded. fair enough.

423km/h in a pikes peak in GT3...you know you can get it to like 1000km/h;)

You can get 1200 km/h in that car - dump all the downforce you can on the back of the car, set front downforce to zero, fiddle with the transmission a bit and it will do it- albeit not really driving.

turn off TCS etc as well....you need to do it on the test course, and go backwards....come around the last turn (going in reverse, not the gear, but the reverse track direction) and then hit the straight. the faster you can come off that turn, the faster you will get the car going at the end of the straight. Might sound easy, but that car, with no downforce and no TCS doesnt wanna turn , so you'll be riding the wall the whole way round. as it hits like 500km, the front of the car lifts up till the car is vertical and basically flying :P. then you wont be able to see where you are, but you'll get to 1000km/h+ then hit the wall

A lap around Le Mans 1 or 2 would be good for a lap comp, cause its not as easy to cheat unlike Nordschleife

Aight here's my settings, don't hold it against me if you can't match my times, they have probably changed a bit from when i ran the fastest time:

Gear Ratios:
1st 2.593 2nd 1.680 3rd 1.196 4th 0.897 5th 0.710 6th 0.542 final 2.5

Suspension:
spring rate front 3.2 rear 2.7
ride ht front 124 rear 145
bounce damper both on 1
rebound both on 10
camber at 0.0
toe on 0
stabiliser on 4 which was probably stock anyway

Other Stuff:
weight balance +10
center diff on 50
nos on 100
TCS currently on 6 but I changed that regularly and probably wasn't on 6 at the time i ran the 7.7xx

what about the fastest time around the nurburgring, in a F6 Typhoon... and as many mods as you want...

now that track is always a challenge, and i doubt if you could ever do a lap that is perfect...

Oh right, I thought the cheating problem was people shortcutting the track and what not, I dunno I think I just thought there was a way to tell at the end of the race if a car was modified.

thanks for the settings DK. i bought the subaru the other day and managed an 8.250 with out knowing anything about gear changes...so i was happy with that

the track done at the end of the IA licence, is Nordschleife (Nurburgring)
the track with the looooooong straight is as said, lemans

the LONG track is the nurburgring 1. the laps are like 10 minutes each....

the 1 that you get up to 380 in that race car, i dont know what its called, but thats not the 1 i meant

Sounds good to me.

No limit on mods, tyres, anything, only limits being which cars are eligable and on what track, sounds fair to me.

I meant have a comp where you can mod your car... i definitely agree that you cant have a stock comp...

10 mins around the nurburgring... your not serious... 7min 23sec, in a lister storm race car, and that was my second lap... i didnt bother doing anymore... i will have a crack in an F6 tonight...

I did it in 1 minute 46 seconds with the mercedes benz carriage thingy.... lol

no way. dont do a comp on that 10 minute lap track...that'd be shit....a smaller track, with a decent amount of turns will test us more, and will make for a better comp
