Cam,

I have been bashing my head against a brick wall on the weight break issue - since G and D have prepped your car, ask them if they will run one of their cam only LS1's against my car, same weight.

also, the unopened 11.5 ute they do may be good against yours, same weight.

would be good - even for an experiment.

That would be very interesting Chris....
I believe there is about at least 140kg difference and up to 180kg between the models XR8 v SS and Pursuit v Malloo.
It would be a great idea tho.

How about this:

the following engines could compete on weight breaks

Ford 5.4 3 Valve V8
Ford 5.4 DOHC V8

Holden LS1 V8
Holden LS2 V8

Class A: REAL street tyres + Unopened engine N/A + full street exhaust

Class B: Any tyre + Unopened engine N/A + full street exhaust

Class C: REAL street tyres + unlimited engine mods N/A

Class B: Any tyre + Unlimited engine mods N/A

Class D: Any tyre and any form of forced induction

NO internal mods allowed in Unopened categories including oil pump drives (Ford) and valve springs (Holden)

Imo, oil pump gears do not improve performance, they are a reliability issue and need to be adressed.

I would rather be straight up and honest in this regard, rather than putting them in without telling people.

I dont want to lunch a 290 Boss motor for the sake of a set of $300.00 oil pump gears, would you ???? N F likely i would guess.

I was generalizing in the comment, but these cars are really coming along in leaps and bounds, fingers crossed mine will run a 12 next time out, and Blue Power have some running 12's already.

You guys will be seeing, some very quick BA Boss's on the track, hopefully inside of 6 months, Glenn and Matt at G & D are very very keen to work their magic on these motors, much the same way as they have with the LS1's.

I am more than happy to provide my ute for some r & d, along with the 60' master Kev and his XR8 ute.

I'de love to see what times Kev's ute would pull with one of those 1.80 60's and up towards 110mph....

Even yours Cam once the shifts are there you'll be in the 12 sec club too

Hi legend! From memory I believe Kev's ute used to do 1.8 60' times. I'm thinking he had a great race setup but not the power, mph was always down.

Gday Craig!

I think he has some more power lined up for it pretty soon which should see the mph increase by a few digits
