At least they got rid of that horrid mint green, never saw 1 fpv (other than carsales) on the road in that colour.

Octane looks awesome with the new strips, dash would look great too. They should really bring back that dark green that the BA had, with gold stripes, that would be the bees nees!!!

FPVs website is so over the place it's embarrassing. It really isn't that hard to build a good looking, easy to use site is it really?

Well the Focus doenst have a 335 SUpercharged V8 either ....

2 different cars, those who do buy each model are looking for different things. I don't care too much for voice activated whatevers as those who drive a Focus don't care too much about a Supercharged V8. I paid for the V8 and the technology that went with the package ..... not for pretty trinkets that would bore me in 5 minutes.

Coming onto 2 years ownership and the GT335 is the ONLY car I have ever owned for daily use that I am not looking at what else is out there on the market to replace it with.

Agree that there are a couple of things that can be and will be added with updates but for some it is not a priority. Would heated seats sway people from a Focus to a GT335? I know why I bought the GT and I know I still enjoy it everyday.

They are not that bereft of bits and pieces! They are extremely comfy to drive and a powerhouse to boot. Some write them off as povo pack crap boxes ..... living with it day to day I cannot see it. The Mrs can have her BMW ..... I have the better car by miles.

The comment you agreed with was pointed towards someone who has both, a high spec Merc and a GT-E saying he doesn't know what luxury is ...... the point was missed by a country mile.

If trinkets are more important than the engine or performance, there are other options. I would hate to see the GT have the additions and then see the price increase because of some pretty buttons. Its a case of everyone wanting everything but then crying foul when they find out these bits actually cost something more to own. They are a beautiful car to drive .... they really are that good! Absolutely.

As much as I like a bit of luxury, in fact I prefer it for long drives, there will always be a demand for a barebone manual V8 for the purists.

Having a factory option to keep the weight down is cheap easy horsepower and makes a great building block for a tuff machine.

Yep, Octane was one of my favourites... Glad to see it back, it was sorely missed.

Largely redundant eh? Have you driven a camry? I had a new one recently as a rental and it was horrible!!!

The interior sucked. Ride was jittery even with balloon tyres, there was no where to put your right knee while your left knee rested against a hard centre console edge, I could NOT find a comfortable seat position. I ended up just "settling" AND, on a trip to and around Newcastle from Wollongong, I was probably only $50 better off fuel-wise than I would have been in my heavy-foot driven FG F6!

Jumping back in the F6 made it feel like a luxurious sports car by comparison. The Camry felt every bit the Kelvinator-on-wheels that it is. And you can't say a Falcon is too much car anymore when Camry's and even a Mazda 6 are comparable size-wise.

The Ford giveth... and the Ford taketh away.

Seems to be more taking than giving at the moment however.
