If you'd have had hung onto cars 2, 3, or 11 you wouldn't have spent so much (though fuel costs would rack up most of the difference!), and you'd still be very happy to this day!

A little less of a surprise for me as the sale was a bit..

..Shady. I rang a guy and arranged to be in Joondalup (?), then had to contact him again once there so he could tell me where he would be. Pulled up to see the car down a side street, and the guy looked just a bit like he may be a respected member of one of the local motorcycle enthusiasts clubs. He hinted at something along the lines of it not being his in the traditional manner, but that he had reposessed it from the owner who owed him $200.

It was cheap though - and registered, though it had been put off the road. It didn't need much at all to be a runner.

Well appointed at the time, but slow as molasses. When I tell you that I managed to go fast enough in it to do 5 and a half (half, because it came to rest upside down at the end of it's path of destruction) airborne barrel rolls, you know I was really trying.

The roof was almost lower than the headrests after that though, it had a cracked sump, two tyres were debeaded and one of the rims had a serious bend it. Still, we got out, flipped it over, and 'drove' it home!

The list is in the order I acquired the cars, (I can’t accurately remember the dates I brought them) though ownership overlapped with many. Some were purchased new and others secondhand. All were owned for a minium of two years and some were kept for quite a long time. The HX Ute was my first in 1977 at 17 years old and I kept it for 7 years.

1977 Holden HX Ute – 308 V8 – 4 speed manual (converted to 327 Chev)
1978 Holden HZ Sedan – 253 V8 – 3 speed automatic
1977 Holden HX Panel Van – 308 V8 – 4 speed manual
1977 Holden HZ Sedan – 308 V8 – 4 speed (converted to 350 Chev & 4 speed manual Muncie)
1968 Holden HK Station Wagon – 327 V8 – 2 speed automatic
1972 Holden HQ SS Sedan – 308 V8 – 4 speed manual
1977 Holden LX Torana Sedan – 308 V8 – 4 speed manual (converted to 350 Chev, Toploader & 9inch) (passed to my son)
1958 Holden FC Ute – 2.15litre 6cyl – 3 speed manual (current – inherited from my Grandfather)
1995 VS HSV Clubsport – 304 V8 – 5 speed manual (passed to my son)
1977 Holden A9X Torana 4 door – 308 V8 – 4 speed manual (current)
2000 VT HSV Clubsport – LS1 V8 – 6 speed manual

From what I can remember year/model/transmission/engine(s).(comments)

1. 60's/mini panelvan/4 speed man/850cc - 1200cc? (First car, I recall it was bored out somewhat)
2. 72/LJ torana/4 speed man/opel four (Far and Away the worst car I've ever owned. I could go on for ages on how bad this car was)
3. 71/XY Falcon sedan/four speed/250 (I think I miss this car the most)
4. 74/XB Falcon 500 Sedan/3 speed man, 4 speed, 5 speed, 3 speed auto/250, 302, 302, 351, and 250. (What can I say, loved playing with cars back then. in particular, this one)
5. 76/XB GS Falcon coupe/4 speed/250 (had to let it go, looked beautiful on the outside but rust killed it from within. Sad day that one)
6. 78/XC Falcon sedan AMF special/4 speed/302 (gornnnne... don't ask!)
7. 81/Ford Lazer/4 speed/1.3 (A girl made me do it. I was over it within two weeks)
8. 92/EB Falcon sedan/auto/4.0 (nice car)
9. 77/XC Falcon Panel van/4 speed/4.1 (It was a panel van thing? beats driving a 1.3 litre Lazer)
10. 92/XH Falcon ute/5 speed/4.0 (Had a very big shunt in this one. A little old lady ran a red light and used my drivers door to come to a complete stop)
11. 04/BA Falcon XR6 UTE/5 speed/4.0 (really nice car)
12. 02/Hyundia Exel/5 speed/1.5 (Great little car)
13. 04/Ford Territory/auto/4.0 (Very versatile, drives nice)
14. 06/BF GT Falcon/six speed auto/5.4 (best car I've ever owned.)
15. TBA..... Terry turbo or coyote powered Falcon of some description. Love another GT but that's wishful thinking.
