I believe it all started for me when I was a young ankle biter.
Instead of getting nursery rhymes before bed, I use to get Bob Glidden Stories & Updates. For anyone who doesn't know who Bob Glidden is, well he was the pinnacle of Ford Drag Racing(NHRA Pro Stock). Joey.

the inlaws are all holden fans and i didnt want to be a follower to the bogan red side so i chose ford and never looked back

This is where my Ford proclivity began. The choice was clear: This car OR a 1961 EK Holden complete with early fifties concept tail-fins and wrap-around windscreen.

We (the family) had a VC Commodore frmo new, which got smashed by a drunkard (.15) in '87, so we got the XF Falcon.
Hated the XF Falcon. Big bulky tractor with crap seats which after 10 years was a PITA to start. Sold that in 2000 and got the VTII. But although I liked the VT more, I always felt I had a place in the old thumper for Fords. Then an MSN friend told me how her father has several old Falcons. His current project is an XM, while he also purchased an original XY GT for ~$100,000. I loved the look of them, so I looked more and the more I saw, the more I loved them. Then I checked out XA-XC. Not a fan of the XA exterior or the XA-B interiors, but love XB-C exteriors. Plus the BA also rekindled my likeness, although I never saw the AU as bad. Just "weird". |

everyone in my family has owned a ford and i have just fallen in love with them over the time i grew up my uncle was always taking me to sandown as a kid following the fords and i must say i had a bit of a hard time at primary school when all my mates were folling holden and when they were the team to beat but now times have changed!!!! i always loved going for drives in his EL XR8, i would never swap and become a holden fan i think my uncle would shoot me LOL

I'm not really a big fan of the whole Holden .vs Ford saga - i'm just a passionate car enthusiast.
I'm a Holden man in the V8 Supercar series. I started being a big Ford fan when the BA was released - then i bought one a few weeks ago for my first car and yeah, guess i'm a Ford fan now

I have always loved them...my old man was always a ford man...and also I loved stirring up all my mates as they are all holden fans!

my dad was a muslce car man (ford n holden) and when i was around, we always had fords, ea,eb,ed,ef,el all then we swithced to an ss, ( sadly we have had a ss ever since 1998, vt,vx,vx and now about to update to a ve ss) but i have always been a ford guy, and my brother has always been a holden guy

All my family drove holdens when I was a kid. We had a HQ ute and HZ Premier.
I liked the size of those cars. Once the commodores came out, I was not impressed. They were too small for our family. I brought a camira for a first car (yeah I knew they sucked, but I was still blinded to the holden views of my old man). Had it for three years before it completley fell apart. When I needed a new car, I ended up buying a XD Fairmont Ghia. I loved the luxury interior and the torque of the big striaght six. From that moment, I loved the Fords. It was a bonus the car was on LPG. It is cheaper to run than the camira and easier to work on. I still have the old girl. She is in the shed getting ready for a respray. |

Probably due to a friend of the family who used to visit just about every sunday night in his big port XB GT Coupe. Love that sound as a kid and more so as I got older

My ex and I had an xw and this is what I learnt to drive in. Of course we have had other cars but have always come back to a Ford. My now husband is a ford nut (Ba GT, BA XR6, BA Ute, Capri) to the point that I think that if the kids and we have 5 think they can park anything else anywhere near our driveway they may need to find somewhere else to live. We do have a landcruiser to transport the whole family when we are all together.
