How ridiculous is that?
Can be sold in WA but not Vic?
So you can buy it in WA and drive it to Vic on your holidays?
Or do we assume that if you bought it in WA it would have fallen apart by the time you hit Vic?

The Victorian Government is proposing an amendment to Victoria's road safety legislation to make electronic stability control (ESC) mandatory for all passenger vehicles weighing under 4.5 tonnes.

Vehicles brought into Victoria after having been registered in another state for at least one year will be exempt.
the same ESC laws are set to start in 2013 Australia wide.

I saw a whole Bunch of 'Cherry' make 4WDs (SUV I guess you would call them?) a few weeks ago getting delivered. They didn't look much chop in terms of Finish, and pretty basic/bland from the outside.

Quick look at the Website shows it to be a 'Tiggo', one of its Key features is that it is a SUV with a Sedan chassis. I guess we'll be seeing plenty more cars like these.

Absolutely not.
The chinese that live here know they're garbage. I have many chinese friends and none of them will buy them, and each one of them has told me the plethora of reasons why the chinese won't buy them.
Besides, how many patriotic chinese people do you know who are patriotic to china as opposed to Australia? They've come here for years to escape communism and they are one group who rally have become well integrated. That and they love the freedom this land has given them.
No mate, trust me, you'll see more Chinese people driving Fords than you'll see this garbage.

Some of the responses here are fantastic, especially Full Noise's hilarious effort.

My favourite though has to be:

The one and pretty much ONLY positive I can see about these cars driving around the streets, is that if I am going to crash into one for what ever reason, it will be a nice, soft, energy absorbing impact for me and my passengers
