LOL
But its amazing how much more grip you get with these new springs. Fronts nicely planted cept when it gets really choppy, back end is delightfully "predictive" lets just say... Max did his best keeping up concidering standard springs, 16" tyres and auto. |

I've just purchased a new Focus CL in Titanium Grey and want to put 18's on it and lower the suspension. Does it effect the warranty?

Talk with your dealer.
But it'll probably will affect the suspension component warranty. But susp problrms are unheard of so i say lower away |

Thanks Guys...I have ordered the Factory 17's. $1200 extra including tyres and the trade of the Smooth Pack alloys and tyres. I had a look at Tempe Tyres but didn't like any of the styles. Don't want to look too much like a boy racer. Will assess how they look with the standard ride hight but may get it lowered to the same as the Zetec (10mm I think?).

Hmm i thought if you ordered the Eibachs yourself from Europarts net you could have them for around the 350 mark...
And then from all reports its actually rather easy to install them yourself. |

$950 sounds like the quote I got from W.A suspensions...Good bunch of guys and know their stuff, but that is just way too pricey for me.

They suggested that the Shocks are fine and there is no need to replace them with short stroke's If theres a cheaper way, I'd love to know...I wouldnt want to dare attempt it myself

950 mate your getting ripped a new hole. Shouldn't cost more than 2 hours labour if you purchase the springs yourself. And you won't need short stroke shocks but they're highly recommended. If you keep the standard shocks, you only have 3cm of shock absorbsion and about 20cm of rebound. Can get quite uncomfortable and bouncy when things get a bit choppy on the roads. |
