My Sport Diesel was set like this when I took delivery. At the 3 000 km free service, they set it so the dash indicator light stops on, and there are beeps if the seat belt/s are not buckled up.

Automatic wipers mean rain sensing wipers. They turn on as soon as it start raining.

With all wipers off, the rear one turns on as soon as reverse gear is engaged but only when its raining.

Is the sensor for the auto wipers in the windscreen or on the wiper arms or what?

Usually the sensor is behind the rear view mirror - some sort of black plastic box/plate

I've ticked the "Speed Limit" box in settings for the sat nav in my diesel Sport - and nothing - no indication of the speed limit at all.

Disappointing because my old Garmin Nuvi showed the speed limieverywhere.

The speed limit comes up in the bottom left hand corner when showing the map. Mine is a Sport Diesel.

Thanks for that.

The little circle in the bottom left hand corner doesn't appear when I tick or untick the speed limit option. Does this mean I've been dudded with an old version of the mapping software?

Thanks again boss-man. Any idea what the "TA" at the bottom of your screen is? Maybe there's somehthing else I should be enabling?

Cheers

Thanks boss-man.

I've activetd the traffic alert now on mine, and it shows "TA TP" at the bottom of the screen.

I think I'll have to go to my dealer to see if they can get the speed limits working. I'm not confident that they can, but it's worth a try.

Cheers.

I turned on my speed limit warning and it works an absolute treat. Handy as heck. All cars I own from now on MUST HAVE this option!

Harveyr, have you tried ejecting your SD card and re inserting it? Just a thought...may or may not do anything, but won't hurt.

Looks like your doing everything right. I took my laptop down to the car and compared your screens to mine. All the same except for the Speed zone circle.

I even took my SD card out and put it into my laptop SD card slot to check files to see if I could find anything there. But I'm not computer literate.

Looks like you will have to find another SD card and try it. If you ever come up to Melbourne, you can try mine. Or I'm sure your dealer may have a car (demo) to swap cards to check??

All the best.

Hi harveyr

Mine is the same as yours. I am also in Hobart. I reckon that our map is so old that speed limits had not been entered for some areas at the time it was released.

Thanks Golfer.

That's strange though because I think the Ford system uses Sensis mapping, as does Garmin, and on my Garmin Nuvi I got the speed limit info displayed. Maybee Garmin's mapping is more up-to-date?

Garmin's mapping is sure to much more up to date. I hope Ford updates ours soon. Pretty poor when it cost $500 extra.

hit the text button on the radio and it will tell you(on some stations) what track is playing. SAFM and MMM show it in Adelaide

I think Golfer is correct ! I had a trip down to Mt Gambier (SA) & noticed quite a few roads that didn't have the speed data

I jacked up the LH side of the car and only the LH lights came on when I opened the door. Fault of safety feature?

Nope it is available on all models. May be you are doing it wrong.
-Key in
-Press and hold right 'ok' button
-While holding ok button turn ignition on and continue holding 'ok' button until you see screen change and gauges sweep across.

Even ambiente does this.

Tried again, got the same results, first screen show TEST, only the up and down buttons can be used.
Going down, these are the screens I can see, which is the digital speedo change ?
Gauge sweep
White screen, horizontal line/vertical line
LED test
Chime test
ECO mode/gear shift NA
HW BM5T
APP BM5T
NVM
Manufacture
No DTC
Speedo gauge, Tacho gauge, Odometer gauge, Fuel% gauge, Fuel flow, Engine temp, Battery, Dist to empty, AFE, RAFE, A/D Input and back to Guage sweep.

Which one is the digital speedo, thanks. It's a trend auto petrol.
