Awesome thread, love this track to bits even was addicted to this from the beginning of GT4. I will give it a crack very soon. I think it should be the one specific car stock standard yet allow any setting possible as many of us are different. I much prefer everything off and using manual, cannot stand ABS and stability control

and by the way get better soon

I can't wait to drive this track for real in June. We are going over for our holidays. I don't think i can afford to hire anything near that quick though. I'm more looking at VW Golf GTi and Suzuki Swifts- Slightly race prepped though. hehehe

Lotus may be the go , bottom of the rung model is not overly expensive over there.

AWESOME!

Two words "Ring Taxi"

You get taken around in a track prepped BMW "ring taxi" by a professional driver.

If you are lucky enough, or wait for a stupid amount of time, you might even get driven by Sabina Schmidt herself!

*P.s. for my own w@nk factor, can my time be noted that it was a standing lap haha, I will try a roll on tonight

Also means when you go for it the tyres are up to spec, bit of fuel is gone to lighten the car and you have your eye in

could we also post whether we are using xbox handset or steeringwheel setup. I have never used a wheel before but I would think there would have to be a gain in time using a wheel setup. Just for little more transparency.

Noddy, from my experience Ive always been quicker with a control pad and using auto believe it or not, you can still control the downshifts by applying the brakes to suit.

I just swing the car around, drive backs to the last corner and start on cold tyres, by the time you get the about the 3rd of 4th corners temps are up given the huge braking required into corner 1.

Iv got a MS wheel and find it makes the game a lot more enjoyable but its definitely not quicker although it does make using manual lots easier

Its unfortunate but as been said by far the easist way to keep it honest

For sure i more info the better. personally i think the wheel is a disavantage unless you have it set up really well.
Driving manual would be the biggest advantage if you have the skill to do it .
I don't but being able to use engine braking and the ability to keep the revs high coming out of the turns . Well maybe not in the shelby though she's a bit tail happy.

At the end of the day its just a bit of fun
Quote:

No but because it will effect my own **** factor . I dont mind coming last but when the competition is also disavantaged its a little embarrasing.

Do you have tyre wear in the hot lap they dont have that option on the assists menu.

smiddy is a freak!!!!

I say it is controller only so that way we are all on an even keel.

V8 supercar would suck, unfortunately they are waaaaay to tail happy in this game.

Snappy, just give manual a shot (but try an easier course to start with) and it becomes second nature in no time!
