Reg, RWC, stamp duty = $650-1000 + insurance.

What's the point?

Just kill it and fix the Sprint.

The cost of Reg and insurance will be lower as I will sell the Vitara and transfer reg and insurance over.
Point is, I will have an eseries daily! Also as it's an XR8, it will always be an XR8.

Here's a couple more pix.

auto... : id say wreck it and just keep the parts. But if insurance and stuff is cheaper its a big plus but fuel consumption lets it down. Seems you want to keep it as a daily anyways so why not just keep it then. In the end its really your decision. So does this make 8 cars in the back yard now?

Looks hammered from the latest pictures even.

V8 daily isn't an economical option. Just go nuts on fixing your Sprint. This car is a waste of time.

That is a problem, I love eseries.

Vit has no go. :(
I am having to turbo it to get some go.
Where as a XR8 on gas will cost the same to run.

Drive the LTD every day until sprint is done ftw.

i voted Fix and keep as daily

it will give you more of a chance to get the ltd and the sprint to where you want them to be

as for the vitara they are a fun car but they are not an e-series

just go with you heart wayne then you alone will feel right about the choice you have made

no person here can say what you prob allready feel

I say, put a cool SVO front bar on it, chuck in a brand new radiator and thermostat for $250, fix the steering problem and turbocharge it @ 25lb boost and make it a sleeper assassin

Wayne... sounds to me like you have your mind made up mate... you have just spent an arm and half a leg on the vit... you now have NEARLY all you need to get the sprint up and running. Im guessing your still gunna put this on the road. you know as well as i know that getting rid of one car thats fine to start on another that needs work is pointless... Keep the Vit Kill the XR fix the sprint

I would of thought a HO/E7 auto Wheezer on gas would have even less go than a Zook.

Zook as in Suzuki. Those cute little 4WDs you see lots of P plater flange driving around in.

On second thoughts, fix the XR8.

Plan.
As Sprint needs a lot of work and is not something I will have started this year, let alone finished. So the doner car doesn't need to donate until then.

So XR8 will be road driven and wrecked out once the Sprint needs the bits.

I estimate the XR on LPG will use as much $$$ to run as the Vit does on Petrol. The XR has electric roof, windows, climate and cruise, that the Vit doesn't have.

Do you need the engine for the sprint? if so, putting it on gas may be a good way to bugger it a bit until you need the engine.

your back yard is looking more and more like jolly's i reckon. shaun will be coming along with all his tools taken parts, well more than he has already :
i say why dont ya concentrate on getting at least one of the cars in ya back yard up and running instead of buying all these other cars and just have em sitting there. get at least one car going for you to cruise around in

Survey says:

Quote:
Wreck and keep what I need
But yet, even after asking for opinions and putting up a poll, Waynes says:

Quote:
So XR8 will be road driven and wrecked out once the Sprint needs the bits
Last time I give you advice Wayne, you obviously don't need us to make up your mind even though you say you do but really you don't you know what I mean?

Not sure of the Current Sprint motor until it comes out, either way the sprint will get new/reco motor either the original (preferred) or the XR motor.

the xr is a doner car and typically the closet to a goer.
LTD waiting on a diff.
Sprint needs a lot.

Sunny, I don't have the place to store the bits, so wrecking it and keeping what I want isn't practical. So driving the bits makes more sense.

I asked for advise for other perspecives, which is what I got. I appreiciate that, but I have looked at what helps me practically and economically.
