Well, got off the phone with Glenn a little earlier today and there’s good news and there’s bad news.
Actually, that’s not true. Its all good news for me, the bad news is that we all have to wait a little longer for the final results. The good news is because we are going to do the job right and make sure all the area’s we want to cover are done 100%. Confused? Good.:
Glenn and I had a number of long talks before any of the mods started and we came to a goal that was attainable and affordable while still blowing my socks off. Problem is that he keeps coming up with these great ideas and suggestions for the future and I keep just telling him to do it now, and then mentioning it to my darling wife (honest honey, it is just another little thing….duck : )
Glenn, being Glenn, then goes and gets all the guys in the workshop and breaks the bad news to them that there is MORE that has to now be done (I don’t want to show my face around there, I hear they have been working on the car as late as 8pm sometimes).
Anyhow, the things we are doing are lots of small, detailed things to get everything just right for the next round of mods in a few months however today’s decision was one of those “ideas” that I just had to have. It is also a significant thing so its going to take a fair chunk of time to do. (sorry Glenn but you came up with it.. you should have known better then to tell me). So yes, looks like we might have to all wait a little longer.

On the good news side Glenn is going to finish off a few other things that were on the original checklist from this week(or have been small enough to not effect time too much) and send me a dyno sheet in the next few days or so to post up so you can all see progress and see who guessed right and who guessed wrong. Then everyone can all start guessing what we are doing next _2:

Hey Casper, once this project (well its current stages) are complete is their any chance of getting a list of everything done, with full prices of what you have paid (including or excluding labour) just to give the rest of us an idea on what sort of money to look at spending if people want similiar mods to their car???

Cheers

Sure, I'll get Glenn to post something up so everyone can see whats in the car no problems. No smoke and mirrors, its all there waiting for people to go get.
Thats the thing with G&D. This is a customer car for them not an inhouse one. Everything that is happening to my car is avaliable to any AU owner who walks through the door with an urge to go fast.

I better not get a phone call next week saying that work hasn't finished on my car because we've been slaving over Shane's car 'till 8pm everynight :

Black cars 'aint got no business hoggin' up the G&D workshop. Get it out of there!!!!!

J/K mate - Good to hear it's all happening. Will no doubt be worth the wait. Glenn's gotta be stoked that he can unleash his wicked mind on the AU.

I'll be the first one to line you up. XR8BLOKE, KENAZ, YOU (CASPER) all ran a best of 15.4 last time. I ran a 15.6 but this time I'll be going for gang busters. Can't believe I actually didn't run any of ya's on the 28/1.

Your mods (casper) interest me because the olds AU FAIRLANE SPORTSMAN might be in for some tweeking (exhaust, shift kit).
My mods will be new plugs and air filter for the next meet _2:

Whatever it does, it will be good to see what results will be acheived down the ¼ with the mods currently being done.
